HPU’s former student successfully defended doctoral thesis(10/08/2012)

On 12th April, 2012, Ms. Ho Thi Huong Thom – HPU’s lecturer successfully defended her doctoral thesis entitled “ Research on image stegangalytic techniques” which was supervised by DSc. Ho Van Canh – Ministry of Public Security and Associate Prof. Dr. Tri
The Examiner Panel included Prof. DSc. Nguyen Thanh Thuy; Dr. Pham Hong Thai; Associate Prof. Dr. Ngo Quoc Tao; Associate Prof. Dr. Nguyen Dinh Hoa; Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Hoa; Associate Prof. Dr.Do Trung Tuan and Associate Prof. Dr. Dang Van Duc.
The thesis proposed techniques to detect stego images which help to sovle the problem of classifying image in public communication – considered to be the extremely imperative in the fields of security and defense. After 3 working hours, the thesis was highly appreciated and the result was agreed by all members of the Panel.
Prof. Tran Huu Nghi – HPU’s President on behalf of the university expressed deep thank to The University of Engineering and Technology, the Panel who had guided HPU’ PhD candidate from the beginning and the Panel who assessed the result exactly.He congratulated his staff who had overcame difficulties to accomplish the thesis and hoped that she would devote herself for science and the university.
Ms. Ho Thi Huong Thom was a prominent student of HPU. She was retained as a HPU lecturer after graduation and was sent to the University of Engineering and Technology to pursue postgraduate. She got her master degree in 2005 and successfully defended doctoral thesis on 12th April, 2012. She is a good example of a lifelong learning for future generations of HPU’s students.
